Video: What happens when you pour molten aluminum into a watermelon?
A YouTuber known as the Backyard Scientist decided to pour molten aluminum directly into a hollowed-out watermelon. The results are incredible. Click below to see the viral video that has already amassed over twelve million views:

As he says on his YouTube channel page, “I like to make videos on all the crazy stuff I do,” Don’t try this at home. He tries many things, all in the name of science; “From exploding arrows, to making instruments, molten aluminum to science/chemistry experiments I do it so you don’t have to!”
He thought the watermelon would just explode, but the molten aluminum ended up creating a cast of the inside of the watermelon.
